Rule Based First Principles Approach to Identify Safe/Unsafe Behavior of Two-Wheeler Drivers under Mixed Traffic Conditions

Driver behavior refers to the actions and decisions made by drivers while operating a vehicle, including factors such as speed, distraction, following road rules, traffic signals, etc. These can greatly impact safety, safe driving practices help reduce risk of accidents promote efficient flow. Therefore, analyzing individual detecting aggressiveness is essential for enhancing safety. In order do identify safe/unsafe behavior, rule-based first principles approach was developed establish relationship between resultant acceleration (longitudinal & lateral) speed. A total five were recruited collect naturalistic data using set GPS devices laser sensors installed on an instrumented two-wheeler from study stretch selected in vicinity city Patna. The collected include location details along with speed accelerations. detailed comparison different identified unsafe tool developed. Further, hot-spot locations throughout route where are violating threshold limits accelerations at higher speeds, which more than posted limit.
